After two months of hard work our dream and ultimate goal of opening up a table tennis club here around JSQUARE has begun to take a more concrete shape! I'm very happy to say there has been a HUGE response from the Jersey City Community - we are seeing a lot of interest! Thank you so much everyone who has reached out to us with ideas and partnerships and all of you players who are making this club possible! Also those who have generously taken the time to fill out our survey, it's been an essential part of making it possible to open this club!
Based on the data we have collected thus far, we are planning on locating in a facility that is at least 3000SQF (that's around 8 tables with 28 foot by 14 foot court sizes) perhaps larger/up to 5000SQF (14 tables, and within walking distance from the JSQUARE PATH station (15 minutes or less on foot, but likely very close) We're also exploring kids after-school programming - there has been a ton of interest in this - collegiate/high school leagues and cultural events to be hosted in our space. If you know of a location or are interested in learning more/have any ideas, contact us! We are hoping to have a grand opening with promotions in November.
